3 to 4 lbs boneless chuck roast
lb baby carrots
2 large white onions, quartered
5 large Irish potatoes, quartered
2 stalks celery, cut into 1 pieces
Vegetable oil
3 C beef broth
2 tsp salt
2 tsp coarse ground black pepper
2 tsp garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cover bottom of large Dutch oven with vegetable oil. Place on top of cooking eye at medium heat. Rub seasonings on both sides of meat, and place into Dutch oven. Brown on both sides for about 5 minutes each while you are pre-heating oven to 350. Place remaining ingredients into Dutch oven and bake 4 hours. This will taste like good ole southern comfort food. Green bean casserole and creamed corn are great side dishes to serve with this main dish.
