Ingredients:
1 pint fresh oysters with liquid
1 stick butter
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
1 can evaporated milk
1 quart of half and half
Fresh chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oysters with liquid, butter, Tabasco, pepper, and salt into soup pot. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Reduce to simmer, add celery salt, garlic powder, evaporated milk and half and half. Be very careful not to boil or it will ruin the stew. Let simmer for about 30 minutes, bringing up temperature gradually, but do not boil. After ladling stew into bowl, sprinkle parsley on top and serve with oyster crackers. My dad’s favorite food was oysters, any way you fixed them.
