1 C cornmeal
1 C milk
1 egg
2 tsp salt
1 T black pepper (not too much)

Directions:
Mix egg and milk together in a bowl that tomato slices will fit in. Slice tomatoes about thick, and place slices into milk and egg mixture to soak. Combine salt and pepper with the meal and mix it up well together. Put about peanut oil into 10 skillet, and heat to about 350. Dip each slice into meal mixture and place in skillet. About two minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain well, and serve as a vegetable side dish or an appetizer. This is one of my favorites.
