3 lbs medium asparagus
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
7 large garlic cloves minced
2 tablespoons Marsala
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:

Snap off the base of each asparagus spear at the point it, it breaks naturally. Rinse under cold water. Fill a pot half full with water. add the 1 tble. salt, and bring to a boil. Slip the asparagus spears into the water, cover partially and bring to a second boil. Uncover the pot and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
The asparagus should be tender and crisp and
still bright green. Remove the asparagus and dry on a paper towel, Meanwhile, melt the butter or margarine in a small skillet over low heat. Add the
garlic, lemon juice, and Marsale. Simmer until the garlic is lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over the asparagus and serve.
