1/2 lb butter
1 1/2 c sugar
4 egg yolks
1 C. sour cream
1 t. baking soda
2 C flour
3 t. vanilla
1 t. almond extract
1 oz. dry poppyseed
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter and sugar. Stir in the egg yolks, sour cream and baking soda. Add the flour, vanilla, almond extract and poppyseed. Fold in the 4 egg whites. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes in a well greased bundt pan.

This is also one of my mother's recipes. It is a great cake. She always served it with a sprinkling of powdered sugar on the top.
