1/2 c cornmeal 1/2 c all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg 1/3 c milk 1 T butter
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In a smaller bowl combine the wet ingredients. Add wet to dry just until combined Spoon dumpling mixture on top of stew. Increase heat to 425 and bake uncovered for about 15-20 min. until the top is golden.
