2/3 cup butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
finely chopped pecans
preserves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together 2/3 cup butter and 1/3 cup sugar until fluffy. Add 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp. salt; beat well. Gradually add 1 1/2 cup sifted flour mixing well. Shape into 3/4 in balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg whites (left from egg yolks) and roll in finely chopped pecans. Place on greased cookie sheet. Press down center with thumb or back of teaspoon and fill with preserves.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes or til edges are brown
