Bottom:
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups graham wafer crumbs
4 tbsps. sugar

Middle:
1 package dream whip (mixed according to instructions on package)
8 0z. package cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar

Top:
15 oz. can of pie filling (cherry or blueberry)

Directions:

Bottom:
Mix 3 ing. together and press into the bottom of 8X 12" pan

Middle:
Cream with mixer dream whip, cream cheese and sugar. Pour and spread over bottom crust.

Top:
Spread pie filling over cream cheese mixture.

Chill overnight.

These squares were a family tradition at Christmas and other special occasions. Grandma always made both a pan of cherry and a pan of blueberry. We also called this dessert "blueberry/cherry supreme". This is one of my favorite desserts and one of the first desserts I learned to make in Grandma's kitchen on Ellen St.
