Ingredients:  
1 cup of butter
1 2/3 cup of sugar

5 eggs

2 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Butter and flour a large loaf pan
Set oven at 300 degrees

Cream butter and sugar

Beat in, one at a time, 5 eggs

When creamy, fold in flower & salt

Bake about 1 1/2 hours

Note: After you've mixed the butter, sugar & eggs with a mixer, put the mixer away. Just lightly mix the flower in with a spoon. Don't over mix the flour part.

This cake gets even better if you make it one or two days ahead of time.
