2 1/4 c flour
1 T salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c shotrtening
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Sift into bowl: 2 1/4 cps flour, 1tsp salt, 3 tsps baking powder, and 1 1/2 cp sugar;
In a separate bowl add: 1/2 c shortening, eggs
to 1 c milk. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp almond extract. Add 1/2 of milk to ingredients in bowl. Mix with mixer at low speed until dry ingredients are wet. Now beat at medium speed 2 min. Add rest of milk and beat 2 more minutes. Pour into greased and floured pans and bake 35 or 40 min. at 375.
