Cake:
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. whole cranberries
Butter sauce:
1 c. sugar
1 c. cream
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake ingredients except cranberries. Fold in cranberries. Put in 9 x 9 in. pan and bake at 350. Serve cake warm with Butter Sauce.
For butter sauce: Simmer until sugar is dissolved. Spoon over cut pieces of cake.
