2 lb. lean ground beef 2/3 c. chopped onions 1 c. quick oats 2 eggs 2 Tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. green peppers, chopped 2 c. tomato sauce 1/8 tsp. basil
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Shape into loaf. Lay green pepper strips across loaf. Bake, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven. Let set about 45 minutes before cutting.
