1 1/4 C margarine
3/4 C brown sugar
1/2 C sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 C flour
3 C Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 1/2 C raisins

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixer, cream margarine, sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix in baking soda, salt, and spices. Stir in the flour and then the Quaker oats. Stir in the raisins.
Bake cookies at 375 F for 8-9 minutes.

Delicious chewy, hearty, comfort food cookies! If desired, you can replace the raisins with chocolate chips and leave out the cinnamon and nutmeg.
