1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup cinnamon applesauce
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Maple syrup or topping of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, beat the egg, buttermilk, applesauce, and butter; stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top. Cook until second side is golden brown. Serve with syrup.
