1 1/2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 egg (room temperature)
1/4 c. maraschino cherries (cut up)
1 banana (mashed)
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. whipped topping

Directions:
Directions:
Mix melted butter with half of crumbs; press firmly and evenly in square pan (8x8"). Beat soft butter. powdered sugar and egg together until light and fluffy. Spread over crumbs in pan. Mix together cherries , banana, and nuts and spread over 1st layer. Spread whipped cream over cherry mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Chill 12 hr. or longer. Cut in squares to serve.
