Ingredients:  
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2oz)
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Chocolate Icing:
1 tbsp. Butter or margarine
1 sq . unsweetened chocolate (1 oz)
1 1/2 tbsp warm water
1 cup sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and shortening together. Beat in sugar and eggs;. Blend flour, baking powder and salt; stir in. Mix in nuts. Spread in greased 8x8" pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min. or until slight imprint remains when touched lightly with finger. Cool slightly and cut into squares. If desired, frost with Chocolate Icing before cutting.

Chocolate Icing:
Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate together. Blend in warm water. Beat in powdered sugar until icing spreads easily.
