2 sticks of butter
6 c. chopped yellow onion
3/4 c. rice vinegar
3/4 c. soy sauce
3 c. tomato paste
6 T. chili garlic sauce
3/4 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a large sauce pan. Add the onion and cook until onion is translucent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.

Personal Notes:
This makes a large quantity of sauce but it freezes well. Chili garlic sauce can be found in the Asian food aisle and is also called "rooster sauce".
