1 cut up fryer or all white meat
1 chopped ohion
2 T. butter
2 T. sugar
1 t. salt
2 T flour
2/3 c water
2 tsp. worchestershire sauce
2 tsp. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter, add everything else and cook until it is slightly thickened. Pour over the chicken. Cook 60 to 90 minutes at 350 degrees.

Recipe from Sophie Walton, she took in Genevieve Marie Hays when her mother died and her father left her. She lived in Bellingham and provided Gene with the only home she knew to last as an adolescent and remained a close friend until her death around 1965 or 1970.
