3 T. melted butter
3 C. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Add powdered sugar to melted butter and stir with a wire whisk. Add vanilla and continue to stir. Gradually add & to thin the mixture to a medium thin consistency and remove any lumps. Separate icing into individual bowls and add desired food coloring. Use paint brushes to decorate cookies with the various icing colors. Decorate with gems and sprinkles. Kids find great success in using paint brushes to spread the icing rather than other utensils.
