2 Cups Hot Water
6 1/2 to 7 Cups Plain Flour
2 Pkgs Dry Yeast
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
2 tsp Salt

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and salt. Stir to dissolve. Add 3 cups of flour. Beat with mixer 2 minutes, add egg and shortening. Beat in. Add 3 1/2 cups flour. Mix by hand until dough is stiff. Cover. Let dough rise to room temperature for 1 hour. Punch down, roll on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter. Place in pan and spray with cooking spray, Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 400 12 to 15 minutes.
