1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 8oz can tomato sauce (1 c.)
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c, dry bread crumbs
1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
1 egg
1 Tbsp horseradish
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 8oz pkg. sliced American cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Combine meat, 1/2 c. tomato sauce and remaining ingredients except cheese; mix lightly. Spoon half the mixture into 8x8" baking dish. Cover with 4 cheese slices and then remaining meat mixture, top with remaining tomato sauce. Bake in 350 oven for 40 minutes. Arrange cheese slices on top, return to oven for 5 minutes longer,.
