¾ C. sugar ¾ C. hot water 1 tsp. root beer concentrate or extract 1 (1 liter) bottle seltzer water or club soda
Combine the sugar and hot water in a 1 1/2 quart pitcher, stirring with a whisk until the sugar dissolves into a syrup. Let stand until slightly cooled, about five minutes. Stir in the root beer concentrate until blended. Gradually pour in the seltzer water or club soda. Pour over ice and serve.
