Nanaimo Bars Recipe

1/2 C butter
1/4 C sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 C crushed graham crackers
1 C coconut
1/2 C nuts

Middle Layer:
2 C powdered sugar
1/4 C butter
3 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. instant vanilla pudding mix

3 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. butter
1 small pkg. chocolate chips

Combine first five ingredients in sauce pan. Beat well and cook until mixed. Cool then add the graham crackers, coconut and nuts. Spread in a 8x8" pan. Refrigerate. Mix all middle layer ingredients until fluffy. Pour over crust. Chill. Mix top layer over low heat until melted. Pour over top. Store in refrigerator.
