"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lb Ground Beef
1 Egg
1 T Worcestershire Sauce
1 T A-1 Sauce
1 T prepared Mustard
3 T Catsup
1 tsp Salt
1 med Onion, chopped
1/4 C Corn Flake Crumbs
10 1/2 oz can Tomato Puree

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except puree and pat into a loaf, patting well with hands (keep them wet while doing this, and it will prevent loaf from crumbling when baking). Lay loaf in flat glass cake pan and cover with half of the tomato puree. Add rest of the puree 1/2 way through baking time, and baste from bottom. Bake 1 hour at 325. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
An old dear family friend, Florence Brewster (another fantastic cook) gave this recipe to me. I think she felt sorry for me because I was very 'green' and totally inept at this cooking things at the time. I think this one dates back to 1969-70.
