2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cold water
1 c. boiling water
Pinch salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
6 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Blend cornstarch and cold water in saucepan. Add boiling water and cook, stirring until clear and thickened. Let cool. With mixer, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beat until stiff. Turn mixer to low; add salt and vanilla. Gradually beat in cold cornstarch mixture. Turn mixture to high; beat well. Bake at 350 for 10 min. or until lightly browned. This meringue will not shrink and cuts easily.
