Indian Fry Bread-,
3 c. Flour
4 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Sugar
1 1/4 c. Lukewarm water

1 lb. Ground Beef
1 package Taco Seasoning
1 small can refried beans

Indian Fry Bread-
1. Sift all dry ingredients together then add liquid all at once.
2. Mix with a fork- the less handled the better. The dough will resemble biscuit dough. Let stand 5 minutes.
3. Divide dough into six balls and roll each to about 1/8 inch thick.
4. Fry dough in hot oil until done.

1. Brown ground beef.
2. Add seasoning mixture, make according to directions on package.
3. Stir in refried beans.

Put meat mixture on top of Indian Fry Bread and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, salsa, etc. if desired.

This Indian Fry Bread is an original recipe used by the Navajo Indians. My Aunt Sandy Yazi was adopted into my father's (Roy Wasden) family from a Navajo Indian Reservation. She shared this recipe with my mother (Linda Wasden) who shared it with me.
