2 tbs. vegetable oil
1/2 onion sliced
1/2 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
4 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. of celery seed
1/4 diced Canadian bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in a heavy sauce pan over medium heat. Saute the onion and apple until they are a golden color.(about 7 minutes) Add the cabbage, vinegar, sugar and celery seed and cook until the cabbage is crisp-tender, and liquid is reduced to a glaze, for about 10 minutes. Add bacon. Season with salt and pepper. Mix together well and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Then serve.
