1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
4 bone-in chicken breast halves (about 2 lbs.)
2 medium all-purpose potatoes, cut into small chunks (about 1 lb.)
2 carrots, sliced (if I forgot to buy carrots, I use only potatoes)

Preheat oven to 450
In large plastic bag or bowl, add all ingredients. Close bag and shake, or toss in bowl, until chicken and vegetables are evenly coated.
In 13x9 dish, arrange chicken, breast side up, and vegetables. Discard bag.
Bake uncovered, basting halfway through, 45 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.
