1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground sausage
1 pkg hot links ( we like Johnsonville )
1 medium onion
4 cloves garlic ( or 2 heaping spoons out of the jar )
3 pkgs McCormicks spaghetti mix
3 teaspoons additional Italian seasoning
6 cups hot water
3 cans tomato paste ( small cans )
salt and pepper to taste
2 bay leaves
3 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a small skillet brown onion and garlic for a few minutes, set aside. Brown hamburger and sausage in a large skillet, drain. Cut up hot links into bite size and add to meat mixture. Add onion and garlic.
In a large kettle add tomato paste, hot water, Italian seasonings, bay leaves, butter, McCormicks spaghetti mix, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, boil one minute and then add the meat mixture to sauce. Turn to low and simmer for an hour or two. If sauce gets too thick, add additional water.

This has become the Thiel spaghetti sauce, Andy doesn't make it but does enjoy eating it and Rita tweaks it occasionally but its basically the same. What I've never really mentioned to them is that its kinda Mom's with just hot links added to it!
