Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
1 tsp. of salt
2/3 c. shortening (crisco)
6 tbs. of ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, then measure the amount needed. Add salt and sift again. Add shorting, cut the fat(crisco) into flour using a pastry blender or two knives until fat particles are about the size of small peas. Add 3 tbs. of ice water to the flour mixture and stir to blend. Then add 1 tbs. of water at a time and stir. Enough water has been added when the flour mixture begins to combine with flour and sticks to the mixing spoon and pulls away from the sides of the bowl. All 6 tbs. of water may not be needed. Form a ball out of the dough. To "roll out" dough: Place the ball of dough on a slightly floured flat surface and flatten dough into a round disk shape. dust lightly the top of the dough and the rolling pin with flour. Place the rolling pin across the center of the dough and press down slightly and at the same time push rolling pin away from you. This action should flatten the thickness of dough and enlarge the disk size. Continue this "rolling out" action, each time place the rolling pin across the center of the dough and roll the pin in a different direction to enlarge the disk.
