1 c. thick applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 - 2 T. molasses (depending on sweetness of
applesauce)
3/4 c. oil
1/4 tsp. salt
4 c. rolled oats (regular or instant)
1/2 c. raisins, chopped dates, sunflower kernels
or chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine applesauce, vanilla, molasses, oil & salt, and mix well. Stir in oats and additions, if any. Taste for sweetness, the mixture should be slightly sweet. If not, add a small amount of sugar and mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an oiled baking sheet. Bake at 375 about 15 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen.
