2 sticks butter or oleo
2 egg, yolks
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 cup pecans, chopped
Strawberry Preserves, Apricot Preserves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter with spoon.
Add egg yolks, vanilla and flour.
Stir until blended.
Make small balls, dip in the egg whites, then in chopped pecans.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 350 oven 3-5 minutes.
Remove from oven and press your thumb in each cookie.
Return cookies to oven to finish baking (about 20 minutes).
While cookies are still hot, put preserves in each indentation.

Kelly use to pick and eat Apricots from her grandmother Ramsey back yard.
I make a puree filling of dried apricots for this cookie and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
