STICK BUTTER
C SHORTENING
1 C STRONG BREWED COFFEE
C COCOA
BUTTERMILK
2 EGGS
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP VANILLA

Directions:
Directions:
IN LARGE BOWL COMBINE FLOUR AND SUGAR.
IN A SAUCE PAN COMBINE BUTTER, SHORTENING, COFFEE AND COCOA, STIR AND HEAT TO BOILING
POUR BOILING MIXTURE OVER THE FLOUR AND SUGAR ADD BUTTERMILK, EGGS, SODA AND VANILLA
MIX WELL. POUR INTO A GREASED JELLY ROLL PAN 11X17
BAKE 400 FOR 20 MIN OR UNTIL TEST DONE
PREPARE FROSTING WHILE BROWNIES COOK
STICK BUTTER
2 T COCOA
MILK
3 C POWDERED SUGAR
1 TSP VANILLA
IN SAUCE PAN COMBINE BUTTER, COCOA AND MILK, HEAT TO BOIL. MIX IN POWDERED SUGAR UNTIL SMOOTH.POUR OVER BROWNIES AS SOON AS YOU TAKE THEM OUT.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BUTTERMILK ON HAND YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE C MILK WITH 2 TSP OF VINEGAR OR LEMON JUICE
