1 TSP SALT
1 C SHORTENING
1 EGG YOLK (ADD MILK TO MAKE 2/3 CUP)
FILLING 1 C CRUSHED CORNFLAKES (OR SOMETHING LIKE THEM)
8-10 APPLES SLICED
- 1 CUP OF SUGAR
1 EGG WHITE BEATEN UNTIL FOAMY
1 TSP CINNAMON

COMBINE FLOUR, SALT AND SHORTENING. MIX LIKE PIE CRUST. ADD MILK AND EGG, MIX WELL. STIR INTO FLOUR MIXTURE, ROLL HALF OF THE DOUGH SO IT FITS INTO A RECTANGLE 10 X 15 BAKING SHEET. SPRINKLE WITH CRUSHED CORNFLAKES, TOP WITH APPLES. SPRINKLE ON SUGAR AND CINNAMON. ROLL OUT REST OF DOUGH AND PLACE OVER APPLES. SEAL EDGES. BRUSH THE FROTHY EGG WHITES ON TOP. BAKE AT 375 FOR 45 MIN OR UNTIL APPLES ARE DONE CRUST WILL BE BROWN.COOL: DRIZZLE ON TOPTHIN POWDERED SUGAR FROSTING.
