2 1/3 C white whole wheat flour
1/3 C ground flaxseed
1/3 C wheat bran
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 C sugar
1 (12-oz.) bottle of beer
3 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Mix the dry ingredients well, and then mix in the beer.

Pour batter (should be foamy and thick, but light enough to stir well) into a greased or parchment paper-lined loaf pan.

Pour 3 T melted butter over the batter.
Bake for 1 hour, remove from pan and cool at least 15 minutes.

This is a super-easy, one-bowl recipe. You can taste the beer a tad, but it really just lends more of a yeast-y flavor to the bread rather than a beer taste. Any beer will do, even cheap light kinds. You can even experiment with adding other whole grains; oats instead of the bran, etc.
