3 pts white sugar
1 pt evaporated milk
1/4 lb real butter
t tsp baking soda
3 c chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 13x9 inch pan. Put 1 pt sugar in skillet over low heat. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Put remaining sugar and milk into another pot and bring to a boil. As soon as the sugar in the skillet is melted begin pouring it slowly into the pot with the sugar and milk mixture. Stir constantly and cook until it forms a firm ball in a glass of cold water. Remove from heat and add soda stirring as it foams up. Add butter vanilla and beat until mixture is creamy( which takes several minutes). Add nuts and pour into pan,
