1 1/2 C. Corn meal
1/2 C. All purpose flour
2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 C. Milk
1/2 C. Water
1 Lg. Egg
Vegetable oil (to lightly coat the pan)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine: corn meal, flour, sugar, baking power and salt in a medium bowl. Add milk and water. Blend mixture well. Add egg and continue to blend the mixture to reach a granular smooth consistency. Cover bottom of pan with oil, and heat. When pan is hot, using approximately 1/4 cup of the mixture, pour it into the pan forming medium size cakes (similar to pancakes). Cook over medium heat, approx. 2 mins. on each side or until medium brown in color. Remove and place on a paper towel. Mixture will make approx. 6-8 fried bread patties.
