1 c butter (room temperature)
1 lb. powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp whipping cream or milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter. Slowly add powdered sugar. Add vanilla and whipping cream. Whip until light and airy.

Make a triple recipe for one 1/4 sheet, double layer and edging

Make double recipe for icing a 1/4 sheet, double layer

Make 1 1/2 recipe to ice a 1/2 sheet single.

This frosting was used to make Amy and John's wedding cake, Julia and Steve's wedding cake, and numerous birthday and shower and anniversary cakes. It is especially good with whipping cream in it.
