2 T. flour
1/2 C. milk
1/2 C. white sugar
1/2 C. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 C. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir flour into milk in a greased, heavy saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened.
Cool.
Cream sugar with butter, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in salt and cooled milk paste and beat until fluffy and nearly doubled in volume.
Gradually beat in powdered sugar (may take 3/4 C.) until good spreading consistency.
Stir in vanilla.
Frosts 2 9" layers.
To make chocolate frosting, blen in 2 oz. melted unsweeteneed chocolate when adding the vanilla.
