Have all ingredients at room temperature.

3 egg whites
1 can sweetened condensed
1/3 cup lime juice
8 oz. carton of cool whip
1 baked 9-inch pie shell (or graham-cracker)
Optional: grated lime rind, green food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites (not stiff), combine with milk and juice, mixing well. Fold in cool whip, rind, and coloring. Turn into pie shell. Top with meringue if desired.

Meringue: Beat in egg whites with 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Beat in 6 tbsp. sugar. Spread over pie and brown under broiler.
