Red Cabbage 2 heads cut into quarters and sliced thinly
Butter or Lard 1 stick
Salt
Brown sugar (handful)
4 tbsp Vinegar (Red)
1 Bayleaf
5 Junniper berries
˝ White onion with 4 whole cloves stuck in it
1 C. Red Wine
1 peeled apple

Directions:
Directions:
Heat lard or butter in saucepan. Add thinly sliced red cabbage. Immediate add vinegar to cabbage to help maintain the color. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly for approximately 2 hours.
Put a little flour in to thicken before serving.

If you have a little grease or oil left from your meat dish you can add this to the red cabbage to give it a bit more flavor. Do this sparingly….
