Ingredients: 2 to 3 lb. boneless chuck roast 1 large onion (whole) garlic & onion bits Salt & Pepper

Directions: |
Directions:Cut slits in chuck roast and insert pieces of garlic & onion...about 6 or 8 slits will do. Salt and pepper both sides Please large peeled onion on top of roast. Place in heavy pot (dutch oven type). Preheat oven to 325º. Cook for about 2 hours...If pot needs additional liquid while cooking, add small amount of water...The roast is done when you can insert a fork and it begins to fall apart...should be very tender. Remove roast to platter and prepare gravy with drippings. Serve w/mashed potatoes!!! |
