4 C. sugar
2/3 C. cocoa
2 T. white syrup
1 C. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
4 T. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa and salt.
Stir in syrup and milk.
Bring toboil in heavy saucepan and let cook slowly to soft ball state. Do not stir while cooking.
When at soft ball state stir in butter and vanilla. Put in a pan of cold water to cool, again with out stirring.
After it is cooled beat it until it looses its gloss.
Spread it quickly on greased tray.
