1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs

2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt

1 can cherries

2 T. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy, add eggs and beat thoroughly. Add dry ingredients (batter will be heavy). Spread 3/4 batter into a buttered 9 X 13 pan. Pour canned cherries down the middle and spread towards the edges. Top with the remaining batter. Combine the last 3 ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve with whip cream.
