10 c. spring mix or mesclun greens
1 c. chopped carrots
red onion, thinly sliced
c. slivered almonds
c. bacon bits
1 c. dried cherries
1 medium apple, cored and chopped
to 1 c. crumbled feta or shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (.7 oz.) pkg. dry Italian dressing mix
c. balsamic vinegar
c. olive oil
3 T. water

Place salad greens in a large bowl. Add carrots, onion, almonds, bacon bits, dried cherries and apple; sprinkle with cheese.

Prepare dressing according to package instructions, using balsamic vinegar, olive oil and water. Toss before serving and pass salad dressing at the table. Serves 10.
