2 sticks real butter
3 c. white sugar
6 heaping T. Hershey’s cocoa
1 c. white corn syrup
1-1/2 c. evaporated milk (1-15 oz. can)
4-6 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large heavy saucepan. Mix sugar and cocoa with whisk in medium bowl until blended. Add mixture and corn syrup to melted butter. Mix ingredients and bring to a rolling boil. Stir constantly for 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for a minute. Slowly add the evaporated milk and vanilla while stirring add dash of salt.

Mixture will thicken upon standing. Makes approximately 6-7 cups. Store in refrigerator.
