16 cups tomatoes 2 cups chopped onion 2 cups chopped green pepper 5 chopped jalapeņos 6-10 cloves garlic 5 tbsp salt 3 tbsp pepper 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp alum or 2 stalks rhubarb 3 tsp chili powder 1-2 tsp dry mustard 3/4 cup vinegar 1/3 cup cornstarch
Peel tomatoes and chop. Chop vegetables and mix all together. Cook until it boils. Add spices. Boil an additional 20-25 minutes. Stir and mix 1/3 cup cornstarch and water. Add to the vegetable mixture to thicken. Put in jars and seal.
