3 T. butter
3 T. flour
1 c. milk
1 T. lemon juice
1 T. grated orange rind
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
whipping cream
grated Parmesan cheese
blanched almonds

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the flour. Pour and blend in the milk. Add lemon juice, orange juice, orange rind, lemon rind, enough whipping cream to make the sauce your desired consistency, salt and pepper to taste. Dip pre-cooked broccoli spears (cooked until barely tender) in melted butter. Place in baking dish. Sprinkle liberally with grated Parmesan cheese. Spread the sauce carefully over the broccoli and sprinkle entire dish with blanched almonds. Bake at 425 until sauce and almonds are browned and sauce is bubbling. Serve hot.
