2-3 lbs. stew meat, cut into 1 1/2" cubes
coat bottom of pan with oil
1-2 onions, chopped
1 box of fresh mushrooms , sliced- more if you like
1 10 oz. can beef consomme
1 13 oz. can diced tomatoes- with basil, oregano, garlic
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tsp. dill weed
3/4 tsp. basil
pepper
1 small bag of baby carrots

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef cubes in Dutch oven in oil. Remove meat and saute' chopped onions and mushrooms until tender.
Return meat and add consomme, tomatoes, herbs and carrots. Simmer 3 1/2 hours.
