1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 t. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 pkg. chocolate chips
walnuts or almonds, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, pumpkin and vanilla in separate bowl. Mix together flour, salt, powder, soda and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Add and mix chocolate chips. Drop on baking sheet by teaspoon. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on rack. Freezes well - also great to eat frozen.
